We collect your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google or Apple sign-in. We also store the nutrition goals, dietary preferences, and meal logs you voluntarily provide. We do not sell your personal data.
Your data is used solely to provide the nik.food service — personalising recipe suggestions, tracking your calorie diary, and exposing your nutrition profile to AI assistants you explicitly connect via MCP. We do not use your data for advertising.
When you log a meal by description, the text is sent to our AI inference server to estimate calories. Meal descriptions are not retained beyond the current request. Recipe data is processed by a locally-hosted AI model (LM Studio / Gemma) and is not sent to third-party cloud AI services.
Your MCP token grants any connected AI assistant read and write access to your nutrition profile. You can revoke access at any time by regenerating your token in the Connect AI settings page.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
